This nearly century-old 1920s Spanish Revival estate in Manatee County, Florida sits beneath towering live oaks draped in Spanish moss, surrounded by palms, lush greenery, and bright bougainvillea climbing the original wooden gates.

Beyond the eight-foot concrete walls, the estate opens into a secluded courtyard where family and friends can gather, linger, and celebrate. There is a sense of privacy here that is increasingly rare—a feeling that, for a little while, the outside world simply doesn't exist.

The architecture, gardens, furnishings, and details have been thoughtfully restored and curated to preserve the character of the home while creating a setting that feels both timeless and entirely your own.

Meet Brent

Owner & Steward of The Palmetto Estate

For Brent, The Palmetto Estate is much more than a wedding venue. It is the culmination of a lifelong love of music, travel, creativity, craftsmanship, and creating meaningful experiences for others.

Before restoring this 1929 Spanish Revival estate, Brent spent more than two decades traveling the world as a tour manager and Front of House audio engineer, visiting more than 70 countries and working alongside some of the biggest names in the music industry. He has also volunteered with Mercy Ships in West Africa—experiences that broadened his perspective and deepened his appreciation for people, culture, service, and the importance of human connection.

A musician, songwriter, and photographer himself, Brent brings a naturally creative eye to everything he does. When he first discovered the estate, it was in considerable disrepair. It was never intended to become a wedding venue. It was simply meant to be home.

What began as a personal restoration project became something much deeper—a labor of love and a creative journey of restoration, discovery, and constant improvement. Over the years, Brent has poured countless hours, ideas, and resources into bringing the property back to life.

Every furnishing, fixture, plant, and design element is intentionally selected, carefully balancing the authenticity of the home's Spanish Revival character with Brent's own creative sensibility. Nothing is accidental. Every detail is meant to contribute to a feeling, a sense of place, and an experience.

Brent considers himself not only the owner of The Palmetto Estate, but its steward. He continually restores, refines, and reinvests in the property, with a deep desire to preserve a piece of Palmetto's history while creating something meaningful for the people who gather here.

But perhaps the greatest reward is watching people experience the property.

After all of the time, energy, and love poured into the estate, there is nothing more fulfilling to Brent than seeing couples and their loved ones arrive, settle in, and momentarily leave the outside world behind.

His hope is simple: that when you are here, you feel as though you've stepped into your own private world—a beautiful place outside of time, where you can slow down, celebrate, and simply enjoy being together.
